Young, dynamic IT company based in Milnerton requires the services of a Desktop Support Engineer. You will be required to take initiative and deal with a variety of technical issues. You need to be systematic and quick with your problem solving skills and have a true passion for IT and customer service in order to become a team member.

Requirements:

- MCSE or studying towards

- Minimum 1 year experience

- Own transport and cellphone essential

- Customer relation skills

- Desire to go the extra mile

- Positive attitude

- Have an interest or experience in Microsoft systems

- Hunger to learn more

Knowledge in the following area’s:
- Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, XP, Vista and 7

- Microsoft Office 2000, XP, 2003, 2007
- Good PC hardware skills

The daily tasks for this position will include:

- Visiting clients to provide on-site support for desktops, basic networking, hardware and software

- Giving remote support

- Troubleshoot and assemble PC’s

You must have your own vehicle, a valid driver's license and be able to speak English and Afrikaans fluently. The position is a 1 year contract with an initial 3 month probationary period.
