Q: Do you offer student loans?
A: Netcampus Academy has teamed up with First National Bank to offer loans to individual candidates who wish to pursue a career in the ICT industry based on the academy’s comprehensive range of internationally recognized training courses, professional certifications and personal development programmes.
Fully accredited by FNB as a private higher education institution, Netcampus can help students choose the course most appropriate to their career aspirations which will then enable them to apply for an FNB student loan to help fund part-time studies.
Life Start Student Loans from FNB help students to take active control of not just their finances, but also their lives, so that they can be all they want to be.
FNB offers a range of study finance options from which students registered for a course at Netcampus Academy. For more information on FNB student loans visit: https://www.fnb.co.za/personal/findsolutions/students/student_loans.html or your nearest FNB branch or phone 0860 100 762.
Q: Are there bursaries available for Matriculants?
The Netcampus Academy is focused on financial support for talented and deserving students who demonstrate an aptitude for and who are determined to pursue long-term careers as ICT professionals.
Bursaries are available to all prospective qualifying students, where a student has maintained an B aggregate or higher academic mark. Grants are awarded on merit in the form of discounts of up to 50% on standard fees to successful applicants.
Each applicant will have to complete a Netcampus online personal skill assessment as well as submitting a certified copy of their most recent academic report, together with a motivation for bursary consideration.
Successful applicants will be contacted by a career consultant within 14 days.
Q: Do you offer recruitment/job placement services?
This largely is only applicable (at this stage) for the Contact Centre applicants, but we also provide CV and postings of candidates as well as available jobs online on the Netcampus forums (click here to go there).
Q: Do you offer any type of money back guarantee?
Yes we do! Please click here for more information about our money back guarantee.
Q: Can I register for a course anytime during the year?
A: Yes. You can sign up at any time during the year, and start your learning at any time that suits you. However, once you start with your studies, you will have 1 year to complete them (your subscription period).
Q: Are International exam costs included in the learning track price?
A: No. This is due to the fact that exams are written at either VUE or Prometric international testing centres, and these can be written at any location in the world. This makes it nearly impossible for us to include International exams in our packages as these various exam centres charge different rates in order to use their facilities.
Q: Is physical course material sent to me?
A: No. All Academy courses are at a highly discounted rate, as we use eLearning as a substitute to physical course material. eLearning material is accessed in your Study Portal when you have registered for a course, and is available to you at any time, from any location - making it a highly flexible method of learning. Instructions will be sent to you via email upon payment on how to access all your eLearning courseware as well as a wealth of other course resources.
Q: If I study at my own pace and at my own location, how do I perform practical exercises I would usually get in a classroom based environment?
A: In order to ensure you can perform your practical exercises, you will be granted access to the Netcampus Virtual Lab System. This system will be able to grant you access to real servers located at Netcampus' Server Hosting facilities - just as if you were sitting within a classroom environment. The only difference now, is that it is done online over the web, rather than sitting in front of a PC in a classroom.
Q: Can I get access to a trainer if I’m really stuck?
A: Definitely. Upon successful registration, you have access to Discussion Forums and also the Study Support System, as well as the Netcampus Live Chat feature. All of these systems are monitored by certified trainers and you will receive a response to your questions within 12 hours.
